Hats Off North Shore Credit Union!

On Friday June 17th we participated in the Annual North Shore Credit Union Charity Golf Tournament by sponsoring their Beverage Cart. To show our support, we served drinks and snacks on the green, dressed in our finest golfing attire, golf cart included.

We discovered that there can be many trials and tribulations when it comes to constructing a 4ft x 5ft golf hat. Here are some photos of the hat leading up to the big day.

Trying to make a 20 in. (in diameter) pom pom out of rope and a beach ball is expensive in materials and in labour. If the forecast is clear, use tissue paper, a cheap and efficient alternative. Sad, sad pom pom.

Always wear protection. Crafting with chicken wire and hot glue can leave you looking like you suffered a bad case of the chicken pox.

Print is not dead. Newspapers came in handy to bring this hat to life.

Hats off to everyone for a fun and successful tournament!

Unfortunately despite our efforts, the hat was too big to keep. Until next year.  

The North Shore Credit Union’s Annual Golf Tournament is in support of North Shore Rescue, a team of volunteers who are on call 24 hours for rescue operations that occur on the North Shore, Bowen Island, Sea to Sky, Sunshine Coast, Fraser Valley and Washington State.
